My Anthem

It's no secret I've been having a rough time lately.

I have had some bad days.

I have had some people in my life not treat me so great.

And not be so nice to me.

I have had people who read this blog leave some pretty nasty anonymous comments (seriously, if you're going to leave a nasty comment, at least have the balls to leave your name).

And the random stranger who shushes my child for crying at a public park (a park, people!) is getting to me more than normal.

But you know what always seems to lift my spirits?

Ms. Kelly Clarkson.

I'm normally a country girl, but how can you not want to kick some ass after listening to this song?

So take that, world!

  1. I think it is unfortunate when bloggers delete the comments of their followers. People take the time to write thoughtful responses to posts and to have them deleted because the blogger disagrees with the content of the message (not for offense language, etc.) negates the purpose of having a comment section in the first place. I did not find the deleted comment to be offensive in any way, in fact, I found it to be very truthful.

    1. Then leave your name next time and maybe I will keep it.

  2. That's a good anthem! I also love her other song (What Doesn't Kill You Makes you Stronger) - one of my personal anthems!

And ignore the haters on here. People have too much time on their hands.

  3. Amen!

P.S. I agree with Dottie "Ignore the haters" (altthough I really get that that is way easier said then done)...

  4. Hi! I don't know you, but I love your blog. I came across this post today and it made me think of your blog... but it's kind of the opposite. While your son defined you as "Mommy does the laundry," this blogger's daughter wrote a "book" called "Mommy at her desk." This just re-emphasizes that at the end of the day, everyone is just doing the best they can do. Keep your head up :)

  6. Amen Sista!

I don't know exactly what anyone said, but I do know that I get so annoyed when I hear of someone taking a stab (especially anonymously) at someone else via a blog.

No one really, truly knows anyone else's plight. Whatever you decide to share, or not, is up to you. This is your blog, and I have never found you to be offensive, unpleasant, rude, or anything of that sort. So what's the deal? Let me guess...someone with too much time on their hands? Someone who feels the need to be a nitpick about this or that. Yep, usually the case.

The funny thing to me is, if they don't like what they're reading....then they should simply, STOP READING. Duh!

I hope you are doing/feeling better. I don't like too much Kelly Clarkson, but I definitely LOVE that one ; )

  7. I agree with Dottie. I loved Mr. Know it All but I can relate more to What Doesn't Kill You. Wherever you go, there will always be haters. Just hang in there and things will work out just fine despite people pulling you down.
